Parish Anniversary Creed

 

WE REMEMBER the people who came before us in Little Flower Parish, whose faith, generosity, and sacrifice have made this a holy place.


WE CELEBRATE our history, 75 years of memories that nourish our spirit.


WE BELIEVE in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; of all that is seen and unseen.


WE REMEMBER, WE CELEBRATE, WE BELIEVE.



WE REMEMBER that our God has been a companion for each person who has birthed a child, wedded a lover, or buried a dear one in this place.


WE CELEBRATE the deep seeds of faith sown in the waters of countless baptisms and nourished by the innumerable Communions received here.


WE BELIEVE in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father; God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven. By the power of the Holy Spirit, he was born of the Virgin Mary and became a man. For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died and was buried. On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scripture, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.


WE REMEMBER, WE CELEBRATE, WE BELIEVE.

WE REMEMBER the friendship of neighbors, the generous leadership of priests and sisters, the goodness of each parishioner willing to reach out and be there in a time of need.

WE CELEBRATE the fidelity of those who have prayed here, the generosity of those who have served here, the love of those who have lived here.

WE BELIEVE in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son; with the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the prophets.


WE REMEMBER, WE CELEBRATE, WE BELIEVE.


WE REMEMBER the sacraments celebrated, the sins forgiven, the tears shed, the laughter shared, the community formed in this sacred space.

WE CELEBRATE the people of Little Flower Parish — spiritual sons and daughters of Saint Therese of Lisieux – who have believed in God’s constant presence, accepted God’s grace, shared God’s love and celebrated God’s life with one another.

WE BELIEVE in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen
