The Archdiocese has prepared a program that is mandatory for all adults to participate in if one is going to be associated with children in any form at the parish level.  It is known as Protecting God's Children.

You may be a paid professional, or a volunteer that works only a few hours per month with our children.  Working with children as a volunteer may be working with our school staff in the classroom, or it may be as a coach on a sports team.  If you are going to be with children it is mandatory for you to take this course.

If you are working with children, it will be necessary for you to fill out a Missouri State Highway Patrol / Missouri Department of Social Services REQUEST FOR CHILD ABUSE OR NEGLECT / CRIMINAL RECORD.  This form has been set up so that you can fill it in.  Once you do, simply print it out and please send it to Fr. Jim Benz.  The parish will pay the fees associated with this form.

The Archdiocese has set up policies and procedures to prevent child abuse.  You can read this policy by clicking on the link to the right.
The Archdiocese has also written a Code of Ethics for clergy, employees, and volunteers that work with children.  You can read this code by clicking on the link to the right.
