Little
Flower School's Positive Action Program is designed to promote
total wellness, competency and healthy lifestyles for our students.
Through self-concept
enhancement lessons taught four to five times a week on each grade
level, students develop personal responsibility, understanding,
social skills and techniques for creative problem solving.
The core of the Positive
Action Program is the recognition that self-esteem is cyclical.
Positive thoughts lead to positive feelings. Positive feelings
lead to positive actions, which lead right back to positive thoughts.
The program also enhances
the school climate by providing focus for the school. All aspects
of the Positive Action Program work together to teach, reinforce
and encourage positive behavior. Positive action assemblies are
held during the year to create a climate that permeates the whole
school. |
